Will they come back? Do I have to wait for new growth and new peduncles now? This is a 25 year old plant I have hanging in the corner, it has completely engulfed a lamp and half a curtain rod......it has bloomed faithfully every spring...until now, of course.

3G, I am so sorry to hear that! I do think you will have to wait for new peduncles but would have to see a photo. I would LOVE to see a photo of your plant. It sounds wonderful. What possessed the cats? -joanne
Oh no, so sorry to here that, bad kitties... Did they knock off every single peduncle?
Snowflakes....that's what possessed them...big, fluffy, fat, snowflakes falling outside the window....they were trying to catch them when they floated by....then, of course the dog had to get up there to see what the fuss was all about.....
I gotta get a digital...borrowed one from a friend, but it doesn't seem compatible with my puter.....it's on my list next time I'm in town :))
Will the peduncles grow back in the same spots? There's still some higher up on the plant, but I won't get nearly the show as usual.
I'm getting a visual of them swatting at snow flakes, and no I am not giggling :) Sorry to say, but no they will not grow back in the same spot. Not to my knowledge anyway.
