As I was fretting over all the weeds that have gone to seed in the parts of my yard that are not yet under control I had a new thought: why not make a weed seed cocktail to take advantage of all of the growth hormones and nutrients within them?!! I have a Vita-Mix blender, which can be used to make instant cold compost, so I harvested (Ha!) a container full of the weed seeds and popped them into the blender with filtered water. Now I am headed out into the garden to give some of my weaker plants, and new seedlings, a weed seed cocktail. I have high hopes - and, since the blender pulverizes the seed - don't see how it could do any harm. I must say that the concoction sure smells healthy! Here's to a new outlook on weed seeds!
