...or other temperates.
I have, available for plant trade only (no seeds), the following:
Abelia mosanensis, Hardy Abelia, rooted cuttings (#2)
Abelia grandiflora, Glossy abelia, rooted cuttings (didn't bother to count 'em)
Salix integra 'Hakuru Nishiki' Dappled Willow, rooted cuttings (3)
'Diablo' Purple Ninebark, Physocarpus opulifolius 'Diablo' rooted cuttings (4)
Viburnum trilobum 'Wentworth,' American Cranberrybush Viburnum, rooted cuttings (3)
Viburnum nudum 'Winterthur' rooted cuttings (2)
Viburnum nudum species, rooted cutting (for pollination of 'Winterthur') (1)
Viburnum bodnantense 'Pink Dawn' or 'Dawn' (1)
Diervilla 'Copper' rooted cuttings (2)
Lespedeza 'Gibraltar' rooted cutting (1)
Hydrangea 'Blue Billows' rooted cutting (nipped hard by the first night of recent frost before I got it into the GH, but still alive, #1)
These are all small cuttings rooted last summer, in containers, overwintered in the cold frame and leafing out this spring. Serious trades only, please. Last spring I generously sent boxes packed with plants to AZ and MI, with lots of extras/freebies included, and never got a plant in return...I would prefer to not get stiffed again.
I am looking for interesting tropicals that can be maintained in the GH...heliconias, small palms, gingers...or perennials or shrubs that I can be massed in the landscape. Tempt me!
The pic is 'Wentworth'

Gosh, I don't see any that I don't want! :~) Seriously, would like to work out a large trade for at least one of each. I have some shrubs can trade but will have to look up the names, may have abelia 'silver anniversary' but have to check. Have named daylilies, woodland ferns, named hosta, white heirloom peony, maiden grass, Rain lily bulbs, double daff bulbs(see pic below), probably more but will have to check. Can take cuttings from two different Japanese Maples 'Bloodgood' and a green leaf w/red edging that's NOID, or any other shrubs or trees in my journal. Have house and terrarium plants with colorful foliage. Also, look at the available for trade in my journal. I also have non-plant things to trade like sequential Country Living mags from the 90's, movies in DVD and VHS, a couple of gardening books...
Lana
Rose_hip, could you give me any more information on the gingers and the heliconias?
Hey Stressbaby,
We’re not real good about keeping name tags or keep track of the specific names or species name of all our plants
But here’s what we know by name,- Gingers-
-Alpinia Zerumber (shell ginger)
-Alpinia Zerumbet Variegata (V.shell Ginger)
-Zingerbert Zerumbet Var. (bitter ginger)
-Elettaria Cardamomum (dwarf shell ginger)(fragrant foliage)
-Costus (V.Large Green Spiral Ginger)(w/pincone ends)
-Costus Speciosus Variegatus (Var. Spiral Ginger!)
- Dichorisandra Thryrsiflora (Blue Ginger!! Awesome but not ginger…)
-Also a Hidden Ginger(low purple flowers) and a unusual foot tall ginger w/orange flowers?.
Heliconia’s-
-Heliconia Angusta “Holliday Christmas”
-Heliconia Psittacorum “Lady Di”
-Heliconia Rostrata Lobster Claw
-Heliconia Caribaea X Bihai “Jacquinii”
-Heliconia (dwarf orange)
I think that’s all we have but you never know…I might go out in the daylight and find something we forgot..
Terry.
Hey WVDaisey, I'll get with you when I know what Stressbaby might, or might not want.
thanks, Happy Gardening, Terry.
OK, Terry. You have lots of yummy things, too! LOL
Lana
Terry, I would like to try to work out a trade for the Heliconia Dwarf Orange, H angusta 'Holiday Christmas,' and the "hidden ginger(low purple flowers) and a unusual foot tall ginger w/orange flowers"
Which of my plants would you be interested in?
rosehip-I was curious about the Christmas heliconia that you have-is it this one? and if so is it the red or the yellow? http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/143229/
Hey St.baby, sorry for the dalays but my home computer is have major problems!!
And my wife was sure she could fix it.... well now I have no Outlook(e-mail) and limited internet access(!!) so I've brought it to work to have one of the I.T. guy
hopefully fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes you can have the plants you requested, I need to find more pic's of most of the plants on your list. The V.Willow and the Purple bush are awesome, the others we don't know. if you have any other pic's or know where we can find some let us know. Thanks, Terry. (sending this from work..)
oh Tigerlily, our Christmas Heliconia is red and white but looks a little different than the one in your picture, maybe a little larger and more full and upright.
My home computer is still down!! (Arggggg) I will send you the plants you requested, just d-mail me your address, and I don't really need you to send anything in return. (feel bad about delays and confusion!!) If you have anything left later than we'd love something then. Thanks, Happy Gardening, Terry.
Stressbaby
I have not forgotten your flax, just been a hectic week. I have another package to get ready so I will do them both this weekend for Monday shipping.
