Hardy Cyclamen from Downunder

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi all --

I don't hang out here much, but had a question on some Cyclamen coum & C. hederifolium I just got from Australia, meaning the bulbs are plump and fresh, but they think it's fall. Keep that in mind: they think it's fall.

I potted them up right away, and they appear to be rooting. My first quesion is about the temperatures they prefer. It's cold out -- too cold for them to be planted out, or is it? Next week will be highs in th 50s and lows in the high 30s-low 40s. Still a chance for frost.

The second question is about soil moisture. I read that they prefer dry soil. The month of May in the last few years has been incredibly WET. Is this a problem, or is it good?

I can look up a lot of this stuff on the internet, but because they need to be turned around to a northern hemisphere time table, it's not as cut and dried as it appears. I thought I'd just ask the experts and save myself the hassle.

Suzy
