would i have thought that i would see buds like this on my hoya, especially splash. they have been in the greenhouse all winter. i maintain high humidity and bright light conditions. just thought i'd share some soon to be blooms from a still somewhat of a newbie.
here's splash with 3 peduncles, or is it umbles?
detrick
never in a million years...
Hey Detrick, your plumie looks great, as do your Hoyas. My Hoyas made it through our recent hard frost, but both of my Plumerias got wiped out. My candle trick didn't work for them this year, alas...
Jackie
thanks jackie.
what a bummer that hard freeze was. there were 15+ yr old plumeria trees wiped out in socal. some of mine died back to the soil line in the ground and in pots. i'm waiting for them to come back from the roots. i had one plumeria that went down to 26 degrees and kept all of its leaves. you better believe that one is get propagated like made. unfortunately, the tree that i got it from in mesa looks really bad. i think mine did well because i grafted it. okay, enuf talk about plumeria on the hoya forum. LOL
your hoya were inside during the freeze, right? all of mine were in the gh. they experienced mostly nights in the 40s and a handful in the 30s. however, they would get bathed in heat during the day since i didn't vent the gh during the winter.
Nice, tucson!
thanks kabob!
Your plants are beautiful Tucson.

Wow Detrik, those flowers are amazing. You must not be that "new", as everything looks super happy and healthy.
Sara
Actually, Detrick...so do I!!! I may small considerations like some are outside on the windy side of the shed because they like it...or some I keep a little drier...but in nature they all seem to thrive....or not! Right?
Carol
Lovely Kerrii!!!
Nice!
thanks kabob!
wow! i was just in the gh a few minutes ago. the fragrance is awesome! i can smell both carnosa and splash. up close splash has a cinnamony licorice fragrance. now if i can only get that in a bottle.
Gotta look for splash. I'm just starting my hoya addiction. But my shooting stars has me all fired up. That is gorgeous!!
Wow D. that is beautiful!! I think my greenhouse needs one of those!
marie - your cutting is already rooted in the gh along with h. odorata.
I will tell my greenhouse when I get home. She will be very happy!!
