Hey Detrick, your plumie looks great, as do your Hoyas. My Hoyas made it through our recent hard frost, but both of my Plumerias got wiped out. My candle trick didn't work for them this year, alas...

thanks jackie.

what a bummer that hard freeze was. there were 15+ yr old plumeria trees wiped out in socal. some of mine died back to the soil line in the ground and in pots. i'm waiting for them to come back from the roots. i had one plumeria that went down to 26 degrees and kept all of its leaves. you better believe that one is get propagated like made. unfortunately, the tree that i got it from in mesa looks really bad. i think mine did well because i grafted it. okay, enuf talk about plumeria on the hoya forum. LOL

your hoya were inside during the freeze, right? all of mine were in the gh. they experienced mostly nights in the 40s and a handful in the 30s. however, they would get bathed in heat during the day since i didn't vent the gh during the winter.

Actually, Detrick...so do I!!! I may small considerations like some are outside on the windy side of the shed because they like it...or some I keep a little drier...but in nature they all seem to thrive....or not! Right?
