I have 2 trades of Aspidistra 'China Sun'.
Looking for other Aspidistras.
CLOSED: Trade: Aspidistra China Sun
A bit info on this Aspidistra. It's rather short (1-1 1/2 feet) and relatively vigorous.
It has dark green lance shaped leaves covered uniformly with small light green
spots that age to yellow-green.
A nice low light and watering house plant or a perfect shade plant for zones
warmer than 6a, especially for low maintenance asian inspired gardens.
enya, do you have any other wants? I can get plain aspidistra at a local greenhouse, but I am also interested in your wild ginger.:)
I will be glad to trade this aspidistra for another spotted or variegated variety, but not plain green one.
As for Asarum canadensis, I am interested in siberian or japanese irises.
Gee-have none of those, maybe some other time
Thanks
i have aspidistra lurida 'ginga'. it came from calamus gardens in puerto rico and i have basically abused the plant. plant delights says it is hardy to zone 7 but mine didn't come back. i kept some of the plant in a pot just in case but i don't want another house plant. i am not really interested in your aspidistra though. do you happen to have any of the banana shrub plants? thanks.
Unfortunately, my house plant collection is limited to aspidistras and a couple of bamboos.
I do have small division of aspidistra lurida 'ginga'. It's a relatively fast growing aspidistra for me
that seems to readily replace damaged leaves and is quickly filling the pot it's in.
My garden is waking up, but it's mostly shade plants like Solomon's seal, sweet woodruff, Jack-in-the-pulpit,
trilliums, bloodroot, etc.
Among the sun lovers, I do have 2 yellow canna rhizoms and some beared irises which I'll identify after they
bloom. I missplaced the tags and after portting/reportting mixed them up. At least I got the nice permanent
tags this year :)
