I think i have this one, they're barely alive, I found them on the street. I'll go back and find the thread on the aroid forum, I think Brian named it but I cant remember what right now.

It may be Philodendron Gigantea or Wilsonii

Very kewl!!! Will tentatively call it P. gigantea... Hope Brian shows up to confirm...I really like this Philo.
Celt...how did yours grow for you?
Carol
They didn't , LOL
I found two on the street with rotting roots, One didn't make it and the other lost all it's big leaves. It started to get two small leaves back, but while I was away the snails got them, it only has one tiny shoot on it at the moment, so at least I know it's alive.
What do you know about vireya seed pods ?
I'm trying to drum up support for a cut flower (leaf in my case) forum. If your interested please add to the thread.

If you go to the botttom you'll see more of my latest creations.
Brian,
Is this the typical elephant ear that we have in North Florida ?

Carol, that's a beauty.
I thought my elephant ears were big. They volunteer every spring and summer to the point where I have to pull some of them. The leaves get so big, but only about a third as big as the one shown with the girl. That's still pretty big! Those are from Hawaii are they not?
I just got a Xanthosoma sagittifolia. What do I have to do to get it that big? and to what zone is it hearty?
That pic was taken by me a few years ago in northern Florida. At the Kanpa ha botanical gardens. A very nice over looked botanical garden.
