question about hibiscus and this ugly cold

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I have two tropical hibiscus in the ground right now. One I put in about a month ago, and the other went in last week. Right now they are both covered, one with a blanket and the other with a plastic swimming pool (don't ask....lol). It is 36 right now with ice falling. I am thinking the low may get lower than originally predicted, which was 34. My question is.....should I leave these in the ground or go out and dig them up? I need to know quick before it gets dark.

kim....i had 2 hibiscus and the temps got to be about 30 ish...hi or lo....all the leaves fell off; good news is that it wasn't a long enuf freeze to ruin the plant...the leaves grew back....hopefully the blankets will help...but the cold may temporaily take the leaves...

Thanks.....I decided to let them tough it out. I didn't feel like going back out into the cold and sleet again.

Luckily it only got down to about 35. I looked at them this morning and they look ok so far. I'll keep them covered tonight just in case.
