A friendly reminder that AV/Gessie events are happening in various places. Check out http://www.avsa.org/ and http://gesneriadsociety.org/ for details..... And if you don't see anything in the events list, don't forget to also look for your local chapter and see if they have a meeting coming up. Not all chapter events make it to the general calendars.
Many chapters take a break for the summer, but there are still a couple of months to go...!
And of course there is the AVSA convention May 20-27 in Denver and the Gesneriad Society's convention July 3-8 in Miami.

upcoming shows and such
Aawww!!! Both of them have to be when I am out of town (and I live right between the two) :(
Darn it!!!
I need to find out where Webster, Texas is.....never heard of it in my ripe ole age of 65.......
you'd be right in guessing it's a hike. Webster TX 77598 - outside of Corpus Christi
I probably will miss this one.....it is only 41/'2 hours away....at least....Houston is a good 3 hours and this little town is at least 2 hours out of Houston....
ooops. Apparently I read the map back to front. You're closer to Corpus Christi? You know about these folks? http://www.ccavs.org/
Hi Key!
WHAT is the plant in your picture above? It is GORGEOUS! :o)
Sadly, I won't be able to attend any of the meetings. There are rarely any close enough for me to attend. :o(
It's Sinningia Little Venus, a 1979 hybrid by Patrick Worley of pusilla 'White Sprite' x Maiden's Blush - just a bit bigger than micro size.
I love it! The Sinningia pusilla you sent me is blooming like crazy (and is surrounded by babies), which has led to my having quite a soft spot for the minis and micros. They're adorable. :o) Thanks for identifying that one for me.
bump..... ;-)
