I have an American Cocker Spaniel..Sandi.....she is approaching 2 years old now. Everybody in the area is nagging me to breed her....with theirs of course :))
Problem is, I'm afraid. The vet says not to unless I have roughly $1000.00 set aside for "just in case"....I have heard that motherhood changes dogs...my little girl won't be the same after :((
I don't like the idea of tail docking either, although I found out from the vet that it is because they wag their tails in a circular motion and throw their backs out.
I don't know what to do...if I'm not gonna breed her I might as well have her spayed. She's miserable when she's in heat.
Anybody have aany input? Pro's and con's?
