I CAN grow something.....

Katy, TX(Zone 8b)

Last year when the end of season sales were going on at the nurseries I bought a Kaffir Lily (Clivia "French Hybrid), a Bird of Paradise and a cut back Brug, unknown color or name. After losing several hibiscus plants which were huge and had been in the ground for at least 5 years I figured that all things being equal these z9-11 plants would not do anything. The other day the Clivia put out 3 stems, 1 for each of its bulbs and is blooming beautifully at the entry outside my front door, the BOP has a beautiful flower and since it did bloom last year nicely I knew it would bloom this year and the Brug. is handing me some blooms which are at this time, at least, are white but that could change as far color is concerned. Needless to say I am so very happy w/all this. If I can remember how, I will post pictures I took of these. Right now, I'm just so happy I could burst!

Thanks, Josephine, and a blessed Easter to you and yours.

p.s. I know that at least 2 of my hibiscus are dead and right by the front door and not out back where they won't show.........
