I am tempted to buy this plant, planted in 7Gal pot for $100 each. Will this plant survive in Texas? Any info on its requirements? Thanks a lot for any help. I am in zone 7b, northeast Texas. Last year got almost one month of about 112F.

I planted one this winter, so it is too early to tell how it will do. There is a decent sized one at the Grapevine Botanic Garden, but I haven't yet seen what it looks like in the full heat of summer.
