Missouri City, TX

Just think of it as another slowdown of the bug population.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Only predicted mid-forties low here and more rain. My plants will probably be happy to have the cool down. I know I'll enjoy it--this is the last time we will see nice cool temps like this until November. =)

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

Just got a call from a friend in Copperas Cove (near Ft. Hood). It's snowing there. He's lost all his rose buds and is trying to get and keep his veg. garden covered.

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

....and it was sleeting here in College Station this morning and the forecast of poss. of snow (though not the sticking kind) here tonight. Going out to cover the tomatoes.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Fredericksburg, TX(Zone 8a)

I was watching DD dyeing Easter eggs for church and looked outside to see snow! I thought, wait a minute what are we doing messing around with Easter Eggs. We should be decorating a tree instead!

Dallas, TX

poor kids! they will need to stay inside and cant hunt Easter eggs.

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

It is funny hearing people talking of how they can't hunt for eggs because they can't go outside. Growing up in Ohio, it was almost always too cold at this time of year to go outside for such a thing. I grew up always hunting for easter eggs inside. My mom would hide the eggs and then dad would hide my easter basket. I remember one year it was in the dryer...lol.

Lakeway, TX(Zone 8a)

It snowed and sleeted in Lakeway yesterday.
I'd just sodded my new yard and planted salvias, roses,
and seeds. Luckily, I'd not put my veggie garden in yet!
I didn't see frost this morning. I think things will be okay here.

Willis, TX(Zone 8b)

I was standing out on my screened in porch yesterday with my MOUTH WIDE OPEN as I stared at the sleet coming down..LOL..It accumulated for about a nanosecond and then melted..that was so weird..I had never seen that happen in April ..thank God it was too warm to stay...Jeanne

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I got home just in time to bring a couple things in~~ Saved em!! Yaay!!!!
The TX Star was in a pot, thank goodness, because it was drooooping...I brought it in and it perked up fairly quick. Some things were burnt a bit, but a little trim and they'll be alright. It was a pretty close call tho'!

Yeah, dmj~ It was kinda nice having cooler weather...the last we will see before a long hot summer ahead.

Whew!

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Deb, we never got down below 38 all day and it was 40 last night here. I went out and cover a whole lot of things and then promptly pulled everything off this morning. But if I hadn't covered them, it would have dropped to freezing for sure.

Shepherd, TX(Zone 8b)

It sleeted some here yesterday, but just cold wind blowing here now. Charlie, I think your 'maters will be okay after all. :-)

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

No snow or sleet made it here last nite..just some cold wind...Bummer for ya'll who got it..
