The owner of 74 horses seized from a Sharpsburg, Md., farm in December 2006, was sentenced to five years of probation today, NBC 25 reported.

Barbara Reinken entered a plea deal and agreed to surrender ownership of more than 70 horses currently in the care of the Washington County Humane Society. Reinken was also barred from having animals other than dogs and cats on her property, NBC 25 reported.

Reinken was charged with 72 misdemeanor counts of animal abuse or neglect and four counts of aggravated cruelty to animals.
