Need Id. maybe an var.amaryllis , and clivia?

in Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I have two plants in the same pot with no id. Is the one a clivia and the other a variegated amaryllis, or both amaryllis ?
TIA ,

The Clivia leaves are more 'strap-like' and my guess would be that the one in the background is not Clivia.
The photo is a three year old Clivia seedling and there seems to be a significant difference.

It looks sorta like you might have two Amaryllis in that pot. You might just have to wait until they grow a bit more to be certain. Definitely doesn't look like a Clivia. I've been wanting a Clivia for a long time, but they are so expensive! Someday!

I do have some Amaryllis bulbs I've promised to another DG'er .... not my favorite plant, but she loves them ... and your plants look like an Amaryllis. Time will tell.

Thanks for your help Balvenie and Lin. When they bloom I will post pictures.

I would say they are both Hippeastrum. The front one with white stipe in the middle is a species type, there are certain hybrids floating about, Mrs Garfield is one. Silhouette another. They have white to pink flowers with a netted pattern.

It was really bugging me not knowing which kind it was. Thanks Wallaby1 your help.

It would be a good idea if you could give them their own pots. The striped leaf one can be evergreen in warmer climates, it can also be difficult to flower. If you ever get flowers be sure to post some pics! There is a Hippeastrum forum now for these.

I will do that Wallaby1. Thanks.

Crinum lilies leaves look like amaryllis. That is a beautiful color Wallby posted. Fran
I have lot of Red with light green stripe and light orang with white in the center. Darn if I can post pictures on Daves. Fran

I have a crinum Asiaticum variegatum. It is not the same. It looks more like amaryllis than crinum.

The one with the stripe looks like Hippeastrum reticulatum striatum, either the species or the hybrid that wallaby1 linked.

The other one reminds me of several plants: Crinum, Amaryllis belladonna or Amarcrinum, maybe even a Hymenocallis. Just can't tell from the pic.

I agree with wallaby's advice: seperate the two. If it is one of the above plants, it'll need more foot room and the culture is different for the two.

Second one does not look like amarcrinum to me--I have a lot of those.
