Just got back from a trip to Seattle. Talked DH into a side trip to the San Juan Islands, and guess what was on the way ("Oh honey, look - a greenhouse supply store right on our way - who would have imagined that???") Anyway, it was cool - spent time looking and drooling! Karen

Thanks, we had a great time! Seattle is beautiful! DH was at his conference, so I hit Pike Market a couple of times (incredible! - 5 blocks from our hotel!). We visited the Boeing Museum of Flight (awesome!), got as close as we could this time of year to Mt. Rainier (ok, so not every place looks like the plains of Illinois), went up into the Space Needle (not great for height-o-phobics - but the views are breathtaking), visited Friday Harbour on San Juan Island via ferry (cold, but well-worth it!), and consumed an impossible amount of fish, crab and an array of seafood that was soooo delicious, at some really great restaurants (so, the big hotspot in central Illinois is the new Olive Garden...), and drove around the city (only to be t-boned by another car who ran a red-light - no one seriously hurt other than the cars, which were both totaled.) All in all, a fabulous vacation, LOVED Seattle!!

GREAT!!! I love Seattle too...except there are far too many people and cars and.....lattes. I think the lattes have made everyone so buzzed they T-bone visitors!!!
Glad you loved my former home town!!!

Karen,
Sounds like a fabulous trip -turning green with envy here :-) I'd love to see more pictures of the trip.
Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt in the accident.
