CLOSED: Looking for and haves:

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I'm looking for a few different things. The problem is I only have a small variety of trading material. I have:

Dog tooth violet http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/55394/index.html
Jack in the pulpit http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/560/
Ferns: This thread http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/650687/ shows some of them. I have no idea what they are and don't know if they've come up yet. They'll probably be buried in snow by the weekend if they have.

What I'm looking for:

Curcuma Zedoaria http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/58846/
Curcuma petiolata http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/691/index.html
I only have Emporer and could be tempted with any other ones.

Vines:
Passies
Thunbergias, especially Blue Sky

Clerodendrum Ugandese
Cupheas, especially bat face
Salvias. I had one that was blue and white that grew rather large. I don't remember the name so it's pretty tough to track down.
Tibouchina

Anybody?

Hi Jen: I have plenty of Argentine Skies Salvia and Black and Blue Salvia. I have just a little bit of indigo spires salvia. I also have two clerondendron. One is Clerondendron bungei and I don't know the other. Do you have a photo of the one you want? I have plenty of salvia and can load you up in trade for jacks and dog tooth violet. I like ferns also but am a confirmend fern murderer.

I'm not too happy with the weather right now, but other than that I've been well.

I'll get emails out to both of you. NYVoices, I'm in Bath a few times a month, would you like to do a half way exchange instead of postal? You are also more than welcome to visit and tromp through the woods to see what else we could find.

The thought of clero. bungeii scares me, lol. It was pretty invasive in MS and I'm not sure how it is here in NY.

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Jen,
Correct me if I'm wrong, Didn't you come to Jo's (Smittycat from Garden Web) plant swap in 2005?
Bath is only 20 minutes from me, maybe you might want to come here:)Anita

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

i have bleeding hearts if you didnt get yet please let me know,,,,

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

NY, I emailed you, but no, I didn't go to a swap. I moved to NY in 10/05 after Katrina.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Jen, I have a couple of large blue and white salvias that I need to pass on. They're volunteers and are growing where they have no room. The mother plant is tall, up to 3' and the leaves are probably 8-10" long. As soon as they come up, I'll have quite a few baby fernleaf bleeding heart. I give lots of them away. I need to deadhead more..... :)

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I'll dmail you Kooger! TY so much!

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Jen,
I got to thinking, I thought your visit would be much better if we plan it close to Iris time, I can pot up things that we talked about in the D-mail. My date of last frost is May 31, but I am always digging long before then.
This PIC was taken 6-9-06, but if my memory serves me correctly they start blooming towards the end of May, This is just a small section of a 200' X 35' bed..:)Anita Edit to change size of bed:)

Just a note for you, My dogs removed almost all of my Iris tags a few years ago for me, so I have no clue what many of them are:(

Ya know, dogs, kids, neighbors kids, spousal units with weedeaters, we can't win for losing, lol.

Anytime will be fine with me. I know the jacks will be way up by then. I remember last year on Memorial Day taking some to my SIL.

I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Hi;, would love to trade for ferns, would have to suggest other than what you have listed though I do have bleeding hearts,
Package for mom will go out as soon as it warms up here, we were down to 16 last few nights-lost stuff that popped up during our two days of summer..sigh and then did nice during the spring heavy rains a couple of days ago. They expect more reasonable days for next week-not holding breath.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

We have super cold weather here, too. It's insane : (

I'm open to anything, really. I did a mental search of my mind trying to remember what I had in MS. The things I listed were things that stuck out, that I definatley want to replace.

I'm good on bleeding hearts, unless you have the clero vines?

I can be tempted with anything, lol

Thanks again for offering to send to Mom. She's doing well.

I'm going to be in Bath.....I think May 12th for the Poultry auction at the fairgrounds
I can bring you some passi cuttings, maybe some cuttings from my tibochina if you want to pick them up
I have some gingers......
I'm pretty sure I have Clerodendrum Ugandese and can take cuttings from that

please oh please don't ask me to root them because its a well known fact that I am rooting challenged

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Oh, that would be great! I'll dmail you my cell #.

I don't know anything about the fairgrounds, except that my inlaws live about 2 blocks from there!

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

I'm still looking for the gingers but have made trade arrangements for most of the items listed.

Thank You
