This little dove and a friend are in my garden every morning eating breakfast.

Nice pic.

Looks like your doves are fit enough to perch on the fence. That's a really good photo.

I get them out on my back fence too but also have a very territorial Mockingbird that chases them off.

We also have about a hundred that gather in the driveway back at the ranch. Dad tosses out bird seed every afternoon and they are so big they're starting to look like fat pigeons. They often have a slow time getting into the air!

Dad has them so spoiled. If he keeps it up they will be waddling around like ducks :o)

Cat- we have some like that and we affectionately call them "fatties." This is the first picture I have gotten of one that hasn't overdone himself on birdseed. :-)

TD, that's a great pic, love their little orange legs.

What kind of camera are you using?

I love the cooing sound that they make....

I have a pair of mockingbirds (such a song to wake up to in the morning!) and a pair of doves nearby. The builders just took ALL the trees out, so there's not much habitat for them. I'm doing what I can to remedy that! I sit on the porch and listen to the MBs sing and the doves coo and the hummingbirds hum... ah, spring!

I love your picture, doodle!

I had a threesome in my yard this morning -- a Mourning, White Winged, and a Eurasian Collered Dove. I affectionately call all of the doves "Flying Pigs." I do love them.

Flying Pigs. Hah!!!! I love the doves too. We have mourning and aztec doves that frequent our yard.

flygirl - I am using a Canon Rebel XT with a Sigma macro lens. I am loving it. It is perfect for flowers and wildlife.
