Alfalfa time?

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

When do you start sprinkling alfalfa pellets around your garden? and tea?

Now is good. It provides nitrogen to the plants when they need it for growth. Best to mix in a little rotted manure with it to balance it out. Compost tea should be begun as soon as your plants start leafing out, especially the roses.

Thanks Pixydish. I was wondering if you were still swimming in the south pacific.

Alas, I am back. It was truly wonderful. I will update the thread as soon as my dh has made a website for our vacation photos. Otherwise I will be posting photos forever. Meanwhile I say POO on this weather we have here!

But wasn't it glorious yesterday morning??? We actually ate breakfast outside on the patio and then I got 3 phlox planted, a large fern trimmed, and 1 bag of weeds pulled before the rains started.

Yes it was wonderful. . . . .while it lasted. We were in our backyard weeding and weeding and the rain teased us for a few hours and then finally the rain buckets tipped! But I was ready for a glass or "resurrection wine" by that time anyway!

Yes, I was so glad for the one good day of weather. I got bunches of stuff in the ground, too.
