new to it all

HAYWARDS HEATH, Suss, United Kingdom

hi, I've just tripped over this site and seen what's going on. I am growing loads of easy to grow plants, and have a greenhouse full of tomatoes in a wet english summer now (but they're promising sun tomorrow! Yeah, right.).

It's great to see so many people interested in making things grow out there. am looking forward to reading your comments as summer rushes by.

Boy, it's SO nice to be able to plant seeds and see them grow after 7 years in sub-Arctic Norway - 20 minute summers and 11-month winters. Aren't gardens great??

Hi Janeda, welcome to our favorite place other than the gardens ,of course'''Been watching the news and soooo happy the Queen Mother is out of the hospital''Imagine, going to be 101 this weekend, amazing''

Yikes,11 month winters??? couldn't stand that unless I had some grow lights'LOL Looking forward to your posts'Sis'

Hello, Louisa! Thanks for such a warm welcome. And that goes for all the other kind welcomes here!

Well, we had summer until this week, and now there's floods and it's gone cold this week after 'severe weather' which the weather people got right, unfortunately! Hopleys I don't know - relocated to this part of England (Sussex) at Christmas after deciding 7 winters was basta near Oslo. Went sailing in Essex and nearly got mown down in Felixstowe harbour 2 weeks ago, so it's a county I visit often - yes, it IS lovely!

Good to hear from you - you've obviously had a complete change of lifestyle, I would imagine? Essex to VA, hmmm.

Yes, a complete change of lifestyle but enjoying it tremendously. Spoke to my mum just a short while ago this morning and she said the rains yesterday came down in buckets. Could sure use some here. You will really love this site and do try the UK forum where you will meet some lovely "Brits" and others :-)
