I live on the Sunshine Coast just north of Vancouver, same zone as Vancouver, but usually slightly more sun and slightly less rainfall. I would love to have a crepe myrtle, but do not know if it would survive. The zone *should* support one, but would like to hear from anyone who has actually grown one. Seattle residents, Vancouver residents, Victoria, and maybe even coastal Oregon ... anyone had success?

There hardy here... The Issue is they need lots of Hot Summer sunshine to Flower well..... So if you got a South Facing wall.... Would be great..... Also watch the different types as they are not all created equal in there amount of heat they need to flower..... They do great down here Sw of Portland.... I seen just a few flowering up against a wall in seattle ..... Hope this helps out....
