I bought this exotic angel plant today. I know that it is not a rhipsalis as the tag says. I found it on their website as epiphyllum guatamalense monstros, but I'd love to know what the flower looks like. Does anyone have one out there in DG cyberspace????
New baby
What a cool looking plant!!!! Nice find.
Yeh! I jumped on it (not literally of course). The woman who sold it to me said the other one they had, grew a long bud. That was that. I had to have it.
I can't wait to see what it is.....it's on my wish list as "boojum's plant"....lol
edited cause it double posted for some reason.

oooooo...I like it even more now.......gotta get me one of those for sure.
Very Nice......I have a cutting I received early last year. Its just finally just putting on new growth. I was beginning to worry!
Here is one here: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/530609/ and another one here: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/566150/ It looks like a neat one.
Hey Boo, put me on top of your list to get cuttings when it's time :)
'Kay!
I brought this labeled as a"curly epi" and after 5 years it has several flowa buds on it. If it blooms, I will post a picture.
Blessings,
Awanda
Can't wait to see, Awanda!!
Oh wonderful!!! It's a beauty for sure! Thanks for posting! I don't see any buds but maybe soon. I'm watching carefully.
I believe that this is E. guatamalense monstrose. I have a small one growing from cuttings and also several little seedlings only about 1 inch tall.
Hi bhavana. Yes, I didn't need an ID (see initial post). I was looking for a pic of the flower. Where did you get seeds?
Ha! Sorry - you can see how I miss things when speed reading. I just checked my seedlings of this plant, at first when they came up they looked like they could be seedlings of any plant, but they just put out their second leaves (good sign) and the new leaves are the cutest, teeny little versions of the bigger plant, they are even thick, but not curly yet. I hope they make it, I would love to have one grown entirely by me!
Very cool!
I must have also "speed read" over your question about where I got the seeds...
A guy from Epiforums had some up for grabs and sent them to me last fall, I am assuming one of his plants set pods. I am hoping enough of them will survive to make me a nice basket full. I also have a few cuttings that I got off of a plant at Home Depot, one of the stems was busted and about to fall off.
