mold on bulbs

I start all my bulbs in the house because of squirrels. I noticed mold on top of the dirt. Are my bulbs no good now? Can I reuse the dirt? There's no plants coming up yet. Thanks for any help. Tammy

Tammy, mold often grows on the organic matter in potting mixes, but it could be an indication that the medium is staying a bit too wet. Could poke around in the soil to see if you can feel the bulbs to make sure they are alright. Unless there has been a disease issue, I reuse the soil. It goes back in the compost and gets mixed in with more.

thank you for helping me. It's supposed to be nice here today, maybe I'll stick them outsida to dry out a little.
