Aechmea distichantha var. glaziovii - you have probably seen its influence on several well known Ae. hybrids.

Tillandsia Wildfire, not yet colored up. This is a John Arden cross of T. multicaulis and T. deppeana, both of which are multi-spiked.

And a real oddball, Ronnbergia morreniana. Doesn't look like a Bromeliad at all.

Dave, very nice pics! Don't you love this time of year in the GH?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Dave, very nice collection. :-)

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

You're getting me all fired up to do some shopping. Just two more weeks until the spring plant festival here at USF's botanical gardens. Members get in a half hour early and I make a bee line right for the Bromeliad Guild and then the FL West Coast Bromeliad Society. I'm like a kid in a candy store! Thanks for sharing photos of some I've never seen before. I'll be sure to share photos of my new friends in a couple of weeks.
