Want to try again

I tried growing these beauties a couple of years ago;but had no luck with them.I would love give it another try. Does anyone have Charles Grimaldi or Double White cuttings to trade?

I know,I'm not a regular here at your fourm:so I hope I didn't offend anyone by asking :(

I'm not sure exactly what I have, but will check. There's bound to be a couple of cuttings I can send to you. Don't worry about not being a regular - none of us were at first :-)

Thank you,Stownes.

Really any brug. would be great :)
Thanks.

Cool! I've got a couple of other things that need to be sent out, and our weather is cool enough now that I will probably try to get things out by saturday. I'll send you a confirmation number.

Hi Christmascactus.... I'm only a year into this brug stuff! And, I'm a lazy propagater.... I have a Charles Grimaldi, and when I trimmed it back about a month ago, I stuck some pieces that showed signs of leafing out horizontally into a pot. I have no idea (others may want to chime in here...) whether or not they will really do well in this manner. I've been watching them, and they seem to be doing well! I would be glad to share with you, once I see how they do.

Hi christmascactus..... I'm not sure they're really going to do anything! As I mentioned, I'm a lazy propogater.... all I did was put a couple of cuttings into some moist soil. They started to show signs of life, but not sure they're really doing anything. I have this thread watched, so I promise I'll keep up on them and let you know if they make it!

Tips for propagating Brugs;
I usually wait until the end of the growing season, cut those in foot-long segments. Reduce some of the leaves by half. Water will serve as an easy growing medium. This too also let you see clearly when they roots. Misting the leaves often also help because big leaves wilt easily. Next spring, these cutting will be ready to be planted outdoors in their permanent spots.
Happy brugs planting everyone. I love them too.
Kim
