I have a few of these hanging around inside... does anyone have these growing and when is it safe to put them outside? Any help would be appreciated... they are really beautiful plants and I don't want to lose them. This is my first year trying these.
Thanks!
Clerodendrum thomsoniae (bleeding heart vine)
You should wait till mid-April to put these in the ground. Past your avg. last frost. The flowers on them are stunning.
Thank you, they really are pretty - I would hate to lose them. The one I ordered from Logee's I received today, it actually has blooms on it !! It's beyond pretty.
Logee's is a great place to order from, but their shipping costs are on the high side. would you like to chat on the "invasive plant" forum?
Um, no thank-you.
Wait, don't go away, how 'bout dahlias or lilies? Maybe I could come over and help you plant your bleeding heart vine?
I don't think so, this forum is for questions!!! I'm going to go in my yard now and spread some compost until I feel better!
uh oh, I think I've scared her away :(
