Just watching the news this morning and what did I see? A familiar face....Josephine (our own 'frostweed'), and her good friend Molly on the Channel 11 News. Molly was being honored as a "Person with Character".
They started out with a half acre in Arlington to build a Wildscape with Native Texas Plants. It has now grown to 4 acres!!! Looks like a lot of hard work pulling all the weeds, but you can see the love in the eyes of these folks. In their element....pulling them as they imagine what (Texas Native), will be planted there instead. Sure is easier to pull them after these rains too!
What a lovely article!! What lovely ladies!! Josephine was calm and composed as they interviewed her about her dear friend Molly.
Josephine you look beautiful on TV! Great job!

Here's Looking at You Josephine!
Oh Debbie thank you!!! You know what? I missed it, we forgot to set the clock for six this morning. They said they were going to show it at 4 this afternoon too, so maybe I will catch it at that time. I hope I don't miss it again!!!
Thank you for letting me know.
Josephine.
Super Josephine,
I'm glad they will play it again this afternoon. This way, and with the heads up more of our DGers will be able to catch it!
I will check at noon too.
What an operation you all have there!! Especially inspiring to us who are doing the same kind of thing in our own back yards.
I hope DGers will tune in and see the article today. Channel 11 did you guys very proud!!
Deb
Well I came home to watch it at 4 this afternoon, and it looks like the weather preempted us. Oh well, that is life, maybe Molly recorded it.
congratulations Josephine...wish we could have seen it as well... :)
Melanie
Yes, congratulations, Josephine, and I'm sorry I missed it.
You're a blessing to everyone you meet - even if it's not
in person.
Anita
Thank you everyone, you are all so sweet. I still don't know if Molly recorded it, we shall see.
Yeah Josephine,
I hope she did....When I saw it I emmediatly posted this thread hoping people could catch the afternoon (4 O'Clock) News airing....not knowing even that one would be pre-empted by weather reports.. I wrote channel 11 to tell them what a great job they did on the article, and how important it is for gardeners to be aware of our Texas Natives when planning their own home gardens. I also asked if the tape could be put in the archives for people who missed the 6 O'Clock Edition..... Oh well...
They really caught your good side sister Josephine, you and Molly were positively glowing with your sweet sunkised faces. Not to mention the content they were able to cover in just a few minutes. As I said... Very inspiring!
Maybe some of you could write them as well and request it be put in the online video archives... Justa thought.
Deb
Wow Deb, you are really are a sweetheart, we shall see what we can do.
Josephine.
