"million bells terra cotta" calibrachoa

Lumberton, TX(Zone 8b)

I just fell in love with a huge one covered with blossoms at a local nursery. If I were a hummingbird I'd be attracted to it. Does anyone know about that? It's not a petunia, according to the plantfiles, but a member of the potato family. Any experience? Thanks!

They're really pretty, but I don't think that they have enough (or any?) nectar for the hummers. I had some calibrachoa in a hanging pot in my hummer garden and even though they were flying by all the time, they never touched them.

It's a shame -- they LOOK just perfect for them. Ah, well -- it's still gorgeous.

I want to try some, do you think they start easily from seed? They are very pretty!

It's a hybrid, and most likely wouldn't come true from seed.
