Lately I have had a new Hummingbird visitor, after being without one for a few months. Got a few shots this morning, although it was not real bright yet, so the shots aren't great.

gardenpom - He MUST have friends he can send my way! I have lots and lots of good nectar plants in bloom in my yard right now. He's adorable! You are soooo lucky having these little humming visitors! Great photos!!!! :-)

Awesome! I'm so jealous! My firebush plants are only about 2 ft. tall. How tall are yours?
That one is about 10 feet now....I had a larger one I cut back last fall, it is just starting growth again.
Firebush is a real hummie magnet. I have hedges of it on both sides of my driveway. They love zipping back and forth between them. They're going to have to wait a while longer here though as I pruned them back to about 12" last month. They do get tall if left unchecked.
