CLOSED: I have Gooseberry 'Tixia'

(Zone 5a)

I accidently buried part of my gooseberry last fall and it rooted, so now I have a few extra plants. Let me know if you are interested in trading, and I'll check out your trade list.

Smiles,
Gabrielle

I would love gooseberry _i have 3 hosta aval I have roses,I have peonys,1 toad lily, will have more in may june

(Zone 5a)

They are listed as red gooseberries, and "nearly thornless." The new stems are supposed to have fewer and softer thorns. I seem to find every one of them though.

As far as what I am looking for, I am a plant collector (or maybe "junkie" would be a better word), and so perennials that I've not tried before are always appealing. Usually what I want is something I've not thought of or even heard of. If you could give me a few choices, that'd be great.

I want to make sure that everyone I trade these with realizes that they are not big full plants, but are stems with a winter's worth of root growth. They are big enough to survive after being cut from the mother plant.

Maineroses, I'd love to try the toad lily. I will DMail you my address if you are still interested.

I did think of a few more things out in the greenhouse or in the ground

bilbergia nutans
blue/white walking iris
comfrey
mother wort
money plant in pots
echinacea
mock orange rooted

how many do you have to trade? I'd be interested in more than one

(Zone 5a)

I think there are 3 total; I'll know for sure when I dig them. Assuming there are 3 and that maineroses still wants 1, you are welcome to the other 2.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd like a list of your Louisiana iris.

Since you are interested in fruit, I also have 'Tristar' strawberries.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

I've got plenty strawberries, thanks though, I'll gather a list of the louisiana iris and send them dmail to you

Milo, ME(Zone 4a)

I would love to have one if you have two I can exchange for two please let me know pm me your addy maineroses

(Zone 5a)

maineroses,

I only have the one extra, as the others are spoken for. The great news is that when I dug them (I wanted to pot them up and make sure they would do well before I sent them), I found that they are much better rooted than I thought. I think they are even better than the one I bought! Will D-Mail you my address.
