The leaves look and feel like the leaves of corn. However there is not a "heady fragrance" that I had expected from the garden books.

It's located along a tree line, in irrigated but not damp soil. So is it J. C. Harvey? I wouldn't mind having a clump of this in my yard.

The blooms look right but the foliage is a bit off. In the pix I have saw of Harvey, the "leaves" are wider and more strap- like. Could you post a closeup of the foliage? You had mentioned it wasn't that fragrant. Isn't he known for a great fragrance also?
Whatever crinum it is, it is lovely!
