Loropetalum chinese blooms intermittently throughout the year here in Northern California but during the early spring ( end of March thru mid April ) it is especially ladened with blooms.
I often call upon this evergreen shrub as a modestly low growing screening hedge.
Today I drove by an older project to see how the Loropetalum chinese 'Sizzlin Pink' was doing and saw that it was living up to its name, " Sizzlin !"
The zone that this is planted in is USDA 9 , Sunset zone 16.
I don't know how this shrub performs in colder climates but as its species name implies, it is from China, so I am wondering how hardy this shrub is ?
Does the mid west or northern states find that this shrub is evergreen or hardy ?
