Awwww, Spring is here and we just had to get New Easter Finery! Or at least New Spring Outfits! See How pretty we all are!
Show Us your new Easter Feathers!!!
I love there Easter feathers, they are so cute, they really seem to be enjoying the weather. It's been so muddy here, my girls look terrible. It's going to be a couple of weeks for me to show some new babys, I should have a few for easter and this week I have some eggs going into the bator. I'm so excited, can't wait. DH candled the 3 eggs my good broody silkie mommy is sitting on and they are coming along nicely. The other silkie mommy is trying real hard to be a good mommy, she has been sitting on her eggs for a couple of days now. I'm not sure when her batch will be born, since she has now confused me.
Cathy
AHhhhhhhh! Confusion, such is the life of a Chicken lover!!! how well we know!!!!! At least you now know that Mommy silkie is trying!! Hurrrrrraaaaaaay!! Fingers Crossed on a good hatch!!!

As soon as our weather dries up a bit - - - I have got LOTS of Easter feathers to share! My first girls are now a month old and they are beginning to look beautiful. We have had a week full of rain and another rainy day today - - - sure does make for a BIG mess getting to and from my coops! gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'll try to snap a few pics for ya' soon! LUV those feathers............pretty, pretty, pretty!
Belinda
Gee Willikers , Y'all, Send some of that Rain to Georgia, Please!!! The news out of Atlanta said we are already in drought mode! Lordy , I do hope they are wrong!!!!! I would put up with puddles in the chicken yard for a little rain!
GREAT pics! I'm "moseying" (is that even a word?lol) outside to do some work and have my camera in hand.............keep an eye out for some new feather pics of my first babies! You will be amazed at how much they have grown!
I tried my best to send the rain your direction................we ended up with over 4 inches yesterday alone. UGH. I've got my mud boots on to go wade around in the pens! lol
Belinda
Oh, she's a beautiful Chickie! We had trouble with exessive rain over the last few weeks in Abbotsford, BC, and my girls were tromping around in the mud all day, I have since had some sand brought in, and all is well, no more muddy feet, just fun on the beach :)
Will post pics of them when I get them into this computer.
All the easter chickies are so cute!
Becca
ooooooooh Hot ,Hot,Hot...Sizzzzzzzle!!!!! LOL!!!! Pretty Pretty too!!!

Thanks Becca & Eufaula. Becca, can't wait to see the pics of your new "beach" life! And unfortunately we are suppose to get more rain again Thursday and Friday.......UGH. Wish I could send this rain your way, Eufaula. I've had enough for now. Ready for some sun and nice weather for a while! Besides, my pens need to dry out and I need to mow my yard! lol
Here is "Angelica", she is a White Wyandotte and is one of my friendliest, sweetest ones in that coop. She follows me around all the time, hoping I have another mealworm for her!
Belinda
Now She IS pretty!!!! I just love those fluffy feathers! She seems to be "modeling" her Finery!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I do my best to feed them well and take good care of them............the rest is UP to them! :)
I tried to get a good pic of my favorite Aracauna. She wouldn't cooperate, turn and say cheese. Guess she must be camera shy! lol She is the prettiest color of tan/brown/grey, with an overall "smokey" shade.
As you all can tell - - - I could just go on & on about my chicks. So glad to have DG's poultry forum so I can share. Thanks for letting me "show off" my babies! Well, enough for now, guys. GOTTA get busy around here. More later! lol
Belinda
Please announce who gets Miss Congeniality!
