I was recently approved as a foster home for a new Sheltie Rescue group set up in my area. Today my first rescue arrived. Jasper is 11 months old and I am told he weighs 10-11 lbs - he sure is skinny! He was turned over to rescue because the family decided they just didnt have the time to properly deal with a dog and the breeder would not take him back.. A bit shy but fine with the dogs . Met one of my cats this afternoon - his first cat! they had a good sniff and then ignored each other. Jazz will probably have a hissy fit when they meet!
This is one sheltie who is going to be allowed to eat all he wants so I can put some fat on his bones!
