Newbie Tulip question

I bought a flat of tulips and planted them. They have just about faded out now. Do I have to cut them off and dig them up? If so, how do I store them? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In your zone, I would just wait until the foliage died back, and then just forget about them. They will come back next spring, and you can plant something else where they are now, just try not to cut the bulb.

Ok, great! I do that with daffodils but wasn't sure about tulips. Thanks so much for the advice.
