What did I buy?

Phoenix, AZ

Just got back from Lowes where this jumped in my cart :) I have Pinks and Whites already. The color is deeper than the pic shows. Any ideas which one this is?

Unknown yellow Suaveolens type, If they didn't label it. Enjoy it!

I should probably add that the actual color is a rather deep orange. The color in the pic is really off :(

It's a pretty brug. Just enjoy it for what it is, identifying it from just a picture is nearly impossible. Unless you plan on entering into a serious breeding program (where an unnamed brug is almost worthless), you should enjoy your brug and all her blooms even though she has no name. She is very pretty and looks to have a nice sized trunk and root system!!

That is a pretty yellow and I bet it smells divine... but they are like $35. dollars each at Lowe's around here.. IMHO that is a lot to pay for an unknown.. for that much money, I'd much rather get mine from Seedsprout (or one of the other sites) and know what it is, or get 2 of the more common brugs for that price!

I think it was $28? You NEVER see Brugs here in Phoenix :( If you do they are very expensive and white :( So I was pretty excited to find yellow/orange :)
Small price for me any ways :)

---Jamaica Yellow - flowers about same size as leaves - reaches dark -yellow
---Charles grimaldi - flowers a little bigger than leaves - turns all most orange
---Jean Pasko - leaves get bigger than flowers starts pale yellow and reaches orange - I think produces seed pods without being pollinated by different plant .
I have fat , long , skinny leaves on same plant . Last year trunk was solid color , this year it's speckled
This can change from year to year , water , sun , food , dirt and I think even how many Chevy's drive by your house changes the way the plants look . Just pick a name and say - It's supposed to be a ----

tonyjr! Thanks, just wanted some idea what it might be. It has bloomed since I bought it. Flowers start out very bright yellow and turn to orange after 3-4 days :)
I drive a Corvette, so I guess it's what ever I want to call it right? LOL!!
