I am no expert but I would say that is just new growth, a bud will hang down, at least all mine have, also is the cutting from above the Y as they must Y befor they can bloom. Looks nice and healthy.

I downloaded your pic and enlarged it and from what I can see its a bud. my guess is that you have resived a stemcutting from above the Y. You also have several uneven leaves on your Brug wich indicates budding and or Y-ing.
several of my buds pointed up when they where that small.
Good luck

Can you explain what you mean by "uneven" leaves? Different sizes, rough edges...?

They look like the leave in the center of this pic. The left and right side of the main veine is uneven tourds the stalk. Thats the sign you want to look for when you wait for buds, then you can start to look for the buds.

Janett, what a great piece of information on the leaf with the uneven vein. I've noticed this type of leaf and wondered why it was different from the others - and yes, blooms came on the plant. I remember this plant very well as it is the only brug to set flowers in my gh and they all fell off before opening. Lol.

Thank you Janett for that information... now I am upset... I have a cutting that is just getting going and it looks in the crown like it is divinging into two crowns... "Y"ing.... I was wondering before you posted the picture... now you show me those leaves that are uneven and I have those too.( I went out in the rain to look!) .. it is too small and young! I want it to grow bigger before it blooms! LOL

LhasaLover, tell me about it. Last spring I bought "Kleine Lady" and let me tell you she IS Kleine (small). Its the Brug I took the leave picture of above and that is her new leaves and she is not even 2 ft tall.
If you come across this one, skip to buy her, she grows all to slow and one doesnt want to have to crawl on the ground to be able to see her flowers :0)
