Ok, so it was yesterday, but today being the first FULL day of spring, we'll just celebrate again.
We still have a good 6-8 inches of snow on the ground, having accumulated another 6 inches after the St. Patrick's Day foot, but it is already into the 30s, so some will be melting today. Right now, it's sunny with wispy clouds, but there's rain coming for later in the day.
Today is Wiggers' Day, the day when John Wiggers and Sons tractor/truck dealership puts on a pancake and sausage lunch for all of their loyal customers. Our younger farmer friends are coming here and then we're all going down for lunch - after the big rush with any luck. As the dealership also sells maple sugaring equipment, the syrup is real.
Stan is still helping out down the road. Mike's dad told Stan that he had to help tap, and Stan said he didn't think so. The man has his limits! They have at least 4 people who are involved in sugaring, so I think they'll be ok with out Stan.
When he's here, he's getting the shop cleaned up so he can put the 3020 in and replace the clutch. Unfortunately, the cleaning up is going slow because he keeps fixing the stuff that he's cleaning up.
I've got some cleaning up of my own to do. I'd like to get some seeds started and I need to clear all the clut off the seed table. best get at it!
