Cat Urine

Lilburn, GA(Zone 7b)

I have researched previous posts on this subject but have a question that I did not find the answer to.

We moved into our new house in December. I know that was a difficult transition for our 6 girl kitties. But they seem to have settled in very, very well....so I thought.

Saturday morning I observed one of the girls sniffing around the back of the TV area (new carpet in this room), and then squatted and peed. Upon further investigation, with my nose to the rug, it appears that this is a area that is being used. How many of the 6 are peeing there, I don't know.

Went out and bought a gallon of Natures Miracle and a blacklight....and we waited until dark.

OH MY GOSH! It appeared that almost the whole rug in that room was illuminated with florescent green spots! Before we sprayed each spot, I smelled. The area in back, side and in front of the TV had that distinctive 'oder'. But about 80% of these spots did not have 'that oder". So what's up with that? We sprayed these spots anyway also.

Went though about 3/4 of a gallon of Natures Miracle.

DH went though the rest of the house with that light....we won't even go there at this point of time....BUT areas found did not have that 'smell'.

I need some help here.......with those folks that are experienced......

how long do we wait till we bring out that blacklight again for another horror show?
if the spot has been treated correctly, will it still show up under the light?
etc....etc.....etc...

I am just sick about this.....all suggestions and help will be appreciated!
