I planted some halequin bulbs in the house under plant lights and they all came up beautifully. Now 6 out of 10 of them have fallen over detached from the bulb. They were still green but now they are wilting since they are no longer attached to the bulb. (I stuck them back into the soilt hoping the would root) What could be causing this?
My harlequins are breaking off
make that 8 out of 10....any ideas? It is too late to save them but I just don't know what could have happened
When you say no longer attached to the bulb do you mean the flower or the leaves? It could be too little water, too warm..
The leaves...Thety never did flower. They came up and grew and they were healthy and green and then I noticed that one or two were not standing straight up and I touched then and they were loose and came off the bulb. Then one after the other began to do this.
Is the bulb still there? I've had this happen only to find voles had been burrowing underneath and had eaten the bulbs, and of course it was just when they had started to flower!
mine are in pots on a shelf in the dining room so I don't think that is it. However I will check for the bulbs....They may have rotted?
