desperately need Gopher spurge (mole plant)

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I am having vole problems but I guess since this plant repels Gophers and moles, it will probably repel voles, too. I can't tell you how heart-breaking it is to have an expensive rose bush cut off below the soil line. I will have variously colored day lilies, some yellow iris, some candytuft, several ground covers including creeping jenny, ice plant, lavender creeping phlox, groups of 10 raspberry plants (Heritage or Caroline).
Help! Help!

I tried this to get rid of my voles a few years back and it did not work for me. In fact, I pulled it up and threw it away! I would have given it to you.(The spurge...not the voles!) Did this work for anyone else before this DG'er trades for no reason?

The only thing that worked for me was to put out some pellets that were green. I can find out what they were in case you would like to resort to this too. They eat it and go away to die.I would only recommend putting in their holes or under low shrubs, in case other pets would try and eat it.

I tried catching the voles with traps and deterring them...only to finally have to resort to shock and awe. But when it is about my valuable plants...the VOLES must GO!

I will be watching this thread to see if others had success deterring voles with mole spurge...

I got an iced tea spoon and put rat poison way down their holes but don't know yet if it worked or not. I did not want squirrels and birds eating it, but all my squirrels are out and about so I know they didn't get to it. I'm glad they don't burrow any even though they will surely dig up a tulip bulb.
Today I went by a garden center to drop off some rooted angel trumpets and she gave me a granular product that had Castor oil in it which is supposed to deter them but it doesn't kill them.
I would still like to get some mole plants. For one thing, I thought they were attractive. I would love to hear if they noticeably helped anyone here.

woodspirit, i have seeds if you want them. no trade needed

Akron, PA(Zone 6b)

Oh, Woodspirit, I wish I hadn't gotten rid of them...like I said, I would have given them to you.

I am still watching to see if anyone else has seen if mole spurge is helpful in deterring the voles.

Is there a forum that speaks to those of us that are dealling with deterring wildlife, like deer, voles, moles, etc?

I hope it is a gopher purge, lol. do you want some cardinal flower seeds? it's a native wildflower here but responds wonderfully to cultivation.
