Pictures from Dallas Blooms @ the Dallas Arboretum

McKinney, TX(Zone 7b)

These were taken last weekend when my youngest DD & I went to the Arboretum. We should have waited until spring break due to the crowds though.

Is this another Magnolia or is it a Tulip Tree?

Yes, you must go! that place is fantastic. So many types of gardens there, and beautiful statuary fountains and architecture, and even a pioneer village with a sod house. Plan on having plenty of time, it is big so wear your walking shoes.
And the flowers Wow!!! they usually have a special theme.

It was a fun day. Afterwards, we went to Northaven Gardens. I'll have to head back to the Arboretum when the criniums are blooming. They have lots planted in the palm garden.

Another tip - take a picnic and eat on the grounds.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

Nice pics we started to go to the arboretum but thought the crowds would be huge so we went to the Dallas World Aquarium instead. The little kids loved it as usual. I haven't been to the arboretum in several years looks like they have made some real changes. Same is true of the aquarium too though.

Sandi, I so enjoyed the whimsical pics you posted above, thought I would contribute one for the pile. This was taken at Martha's Bloomers in Navasota, TX, one of my favorite nurseries.
