I have noticed since using the beer formula fertilizer that many of my new leaves are larger than the previous ones. Has anyone else noticed this? Does it happen with all fertilizers? I never noticed it befor using this home brew, which I love. I have a H. shepherdii with the standard 4" leaves. All the new leaves are 6-7" long. Is it really shepherdii or is it H. longifolia?
I have also set up my own fertilizer test using 3 cuttings (each from the same plant) of 4 different hoyas. They are growing in the same environment, same 'soil' etc.... but using the beer formula on one set, MSU on one set and regular water on the last set. I will post my results~ good, bad or indiferent.

WOW.
They all look nice and healthy Joanne. I didn't use the beer formula but I have been using the MSU for a couple months. My H. fungii has been really putting out the new growth, there are several new leafs comming in but this one is 7 1/2 inches long. The majority of the leaves range from 4 to 5 inches.
Way cool Tami. My H. fungii has a new stem that grows about 2" a day but the new leaves are just starting. Can't wait to see if they look like yours. I just love all the new growth! -joanne
VERY COOL EXPERIMENT!!! This will be very nice info. Thanks Joanne!!!
I had quit using the beer formula during the winter but I'm gona go shake some up right now.
