I don’t have much in the way of vegetable seeds to trade but I do have some flower seeds. I have looked everywhere this year and cannot find any all I can find are the ones that you pick before they get hot. I always order from Burpee and Gurney’s and they don’t have them this year and Wally World doesn’t have them either! Now I’m late getting them planted lol
I would gladly send a sabe or trade flower seeds for them I need about 30 seeds, Thank you!

That's great, I will send postage the only thing is I don't know when I will get them, I'm sure I'll need some for next year if you don't mind I will go ahead and send postage then if they don't get here in time to plant I can use them next year, I really need to get these started in a week or so. Yes, Lea, they are mild. In fact they are so mild, I thought no DGardener would be interested LOL.
Hold on with the postage - maybe we can do something different.
I will mail your seeds today, so you can sow them right away.
They are ripe when they turn waxy yellow, but can also be left until they turn reddish (guess they become slightly hotter at that stage).

Lea, I will send you all the seeds I have left, so you can share them if anybody else is interested. These peppers are not only good when eaten fresh, but also when stuffed with rice and ground lamb meat as the Arabs eat.

LeBug, I've grown 'False Alarm' jalopenos, but any extra seeds I have are from a 2003 Burpee's packet, so I'm not too hopeful about germination ("packed for 2003" doesn't mean they were actually harvested in 2002, either).
Have you looked at WalMart? Ours has an impressive selection this year... and I *think* that I noticed a mild jalapeno, maybe 'TAM mild', on their racks... Oh, wait, you did say you checked there...
I just looked at Burpee's, and they do still list 'False Alarm' http://www.burpee.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=637&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=13&iSubCat=2003&iProductID=637&iSubSubCat=1934, so maybe that's the one I saw at our WalMart...

Thanks critter I'll check 'false alarm' out, couldn't use the link but I have the address ;-) I just hate to order one pack of seed and pay the shipping, you know but if that's what I have to do I will, thanks for your help! I didn't see any 'false alarm' at our wal mart, everytime I take my son to wal mart or anywhere they have seeds for that matter, I have my son with me and he always says give him the list of 'other' things and for me to go ahead and check the seeds out cause it takes me forever lol

I got a Burpee's credit card a few years back so I'd get free shipping... but even so, I've hesitated to order from them this year because their prices just seem really high. If you can find the Burpee seeds you want at WalMart, that's the way to go... LMK if you want me to look for you next week. (Dmail me, in case I lose track of this thread.)
Pinetree is great, smaller packets for home gardens at smaller prices, and their shipping isn't bad.
Critter, I'm going to go to Pinetree, I really need to get these seeds, thank you anyway, I have gotten the jalapeno mild peppers every year I just don't understand what is up with this year, I have checked wal mart out here and didn't see any mild peppers at all! I've been everywhere here that sells seeds, maybe some people just don't eat or use the mild peppers as much as they used to so they are just getting away from them? I sell plants and I sell a lot of these, it never occurred to me I wouldn't be able to find the seeds this year or I would have saved some from last year.
I got two packs from wal mart that was marked 'Jalapeno M', I was in a hurry and just grabbed them when I got home got to looking at them and they are hot lol That was alright I need those too.
