I have a large garden tub in my bathroom which is right next to a large window. I'd like to put a plant in there...hanging....what would do good with the moistness, humidity? It would get light. Thanks!
Plants in Bathroom
Which direction is the window facing- North, East, South or West?
GH
Hi Teresano. I have the luxury of a large bath area with a high window, facing north - bright indirect light year round. I have successfully grown Lipstick and Goldfish. They were so happy there they even bloomed for me. I would also suggest Epiphyllum with their gorgeous cactus like flowers and Rhipsalis which would both do well in that environment.
My mom has a garden tub surrounded by glass block on two sides. She grows mostly African violets and other gesneriads like gloxinia, streptocarpus, and episcias. They love it in there and it seems like something is always blooming.
I can't remember who is sending me a geranium scented plant to hang in the bathroom.....she says they make great bath plants and the fragrance is great....I have the big block window so we will see what happens...
