I used to keep my glads in the basement. They did 'ok'. Then people suggested it was too warm in the basement and I needed to keep them in my attached garage on the wall next to the house. Well, just went and checked them yesterday and they look fine, just soft and a little mushy when I picked them up. What happened?
toofew!
Gladiolas mushy in the garage.
It sounds like they got too cold, because glad corms should otherwise be pretty hard. Do temps go below freezing in your garage?
It was the coldest Feb here in decades. But everyone said since they were against the house wall they should have been ok. Imagine that, what bad luck to choose a really cold year .... I guess it is back to the basement with them next winter.
