I don't know if you follow the tomato forum, but Flip (aries) runs a series of window ledge shots throughout his growing season, which is enough to drive a Northerner into therapy! Anyway, kingedking has determined that I should build abunch of little snowmen and take a photo on MY window ledge to show him what I'M growing!
Which MG? It looks so strong and healthy. I just now have my seeds soaking. When they sprout little "legs" I will plant them into their summer pots.

Wonderful! I always laugh that I didn't take up gardening until I moved to NY. Spent many years in Southern California and Florida - and a wonderful year in Paducah KY - all places where gardening would have been awesome - duh, me!
LOL
This is my first time ever for squash. Am trying Yellow Crookneck, Cocozelle Zucchini, Papaya Pear, Yellow/Green Zephyr and Table Ace Acorn. It will warm up around here real soon now, so my plans are to start them inside in 16 ounce stryrofoam cups tomorrow, and plant out in earth boxes around mid to late April.
Planted out tomatoes and peppers in earth boxes today.
Eggplants have been potted up and are under shop lights. Ichiban, Millionaire and African Orange.
Whats the African Orange?

Have you ever eaten any before?
This one's new to me - sounds great!
Sequee, there are many season extension options available to gardener's today. Have you considered a small hoop house or row covers to give yourself more gardening time? Have you read Elliot Coleman's Four Season Harvest?
