Giant burmese honeysuckle

Hi Everybody,

My name is Rodica and I garden in Phoenix, AZ zone 9b. I saw this vine some time ago when I was vacationing
on Coronado, San Diego. I thought my eyes paid some tricks on me or that the regular honeysuckle was somehow on steroids. I have been trying to get this vine since then but I was not successful.
Can anybody help me locate this vine? To make it even more difficult I need a small size container since I can not fit
big size rootball in my flower beds.

Ask if any of your local retail nurseries order from San Marco's Wholesale growers in California.
They usually grow this vine.
It will probably be only available in a 5 gallon size though.

DD, I already asked the nurseries in town if they can order this plant and they said that they can not.
I go to San Diego every year and either they do not have it or they have it in big containers.
I was hoping that somebody knows a source for this plant in smaller containers.

It is supposed to grow readily from cuttings; perhaps that is how you could get a small size plant.

If you can't get a cutting, Monrovia grows it and you can check here for local retailers who should be able to order it for you.

I just called one of the nurseries and they said that the plant is not available to buy.
I will keep looking.
