I have started vegetable plants by seed. I used some peat pots and some other pots. The peat pots are starting to have mildew (white fuzz) on the outside of the pots. I planted six days ago.
Any suggestions on what I should do or if I'm o.k.? Maybe I'm out of luck and should throw them away?

Mine have done that, i have never had any problem with my plants. Unless you have a full blown mold problem, i wouldn't worry too much, just make sure you have adequate air circulation and don't over water.

If you have a cover or lid on the peat pots, prop it up a bit or remove it completely, so there is good air circulation.
Last year when I overwatered, the same thing happened to me. I gently scooped the white stuff off the top and turned the fan on low. It seemed to clear it up pretty quickly. Good luck.
