Macadamia Nut trees .

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

This tree is 30 ft. high .
We get about 30 kilos of nuts a year from it .
The shops here on the Gold Coast sell roasted M. nuts for $42 a kilo .

That's a very nice looking tree and crop, Ginger. Macadamias are grown quite extensively in Hawaii, but can also be found in southern California and in general will do well wherever citrus flourishes. I'm not very good at metric, but is a kilo about 2.2 pounds imperial? Shelling macadamias is labor intensive, but that pricing still seems steep. Nice business venture, though. The tree is quite ornamental as well.

BTW, I think your currency is very nice-looking with the different colors.

I didn't know that so many varieties are being grown, and that a large tub will support a container specimen. (hmm-m!)
